Non-Medicinal Ingredients

Dosage

Recommended dosage (adults): 1 scoop (8.9 g) daily in 250 mL of water or your favourite juice or smoothie. Take with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, or use as directed by a physician. Consult a physician for use beyond 1 month.

Caution

There is enough iron in this package to seriously harm a child. Stop use and consult a physician if you develop symptoms of liver trouble such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), stomach pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual tiredness, and/or loss of appetite. Rare, unpredictable cases of liver injury associated with products containing green tea extract have been reported (in Canada and internationally). Consult a physician if you have any type of acute infection or if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a physician prior to use if you have diabetes, gastrointestinal lesions/ulcers, excess stomach acid, an iron deficiency, gallstones, gallbladder diseases, a liver disorder, an intestinal obstruction, fever, severe abdominal pain, bloody diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, allergy to latex or fruits (e.g., avocado, banana, chestnut, passion fruit, fig, melon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, peach, and tomato), if you are undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HRT), are having surgery, are taking an anti-inflammatory, an antibiotic, or medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, seizures, or birth control. Do not use this product if you have high or low blood pressure, have heart disease, kidney disorder, or edema (swelling of the hands, face, and feet), are taking products containing diuretics, have a history of systemic lupus erythematosus, a bile duct obstruction, an immune-compromised condition (e.g., AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment), or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use this product if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heartbeat and/or difficulty breathing, if hypersensitivity/allergy, fever, or abdominal pain occurs, if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g., diarrhea) occur, worsen, and/or persists beyond 3 days. Some people may experience gastrointestinal discomfort/disturbances. Stop use if laxative effect occurs. Keep out of reach of children.
