Melatonin Plus combines three natural health products that are used as relaxants and sleep aids: 5-HTP (a plant-sourced amino acid), L-theanine (a compound found in green tea), and melatonin (a hormone). These sleep supporters come in delicious, naturally flavoured, chewable tablets, helping to temporarily promote relaxation and reset the body’s sleep-wake cycle.

This formula is a great choice for people who have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. It helps increase the total sleep time in those suffering from sleep restriction or altered sleep schedule, such as shift-workers, and helps relieve the daytime fatigue associated with jet lag. Each tablet contains:
L-Theanine 100 mg
L-5-Hydroxytryptophan (L-5-HTP) (Griffonia simplicifolia) (seed) 15 mg
Melatonin 1.5 mg

Dextrose, sucrose, stearic acid, xylitol, natural flavours, magnesium silicate, silica, citric acid, natural orange colour (annatto, oleoresin paprika, turmeric).

Recommended dosage (adults):Do not drive or use machinery for 5 hours after taking melatonin. Consult a physician for use beyond 4 weeks.
All uses except jet lag:At bedtime only, chew 2 tablets once daily with a meal or as directed by a physician.
Jet lag:Chew 2 tablets once daily with food at bedtime, while travelling, and at destination until adapted to the new time zone or daily pattern, or as directed by a physician.

Free of artificial colours, preservatives, or sweeteners; no dairy, wheat, gluten, yeast, soy, egg, fish, shellfish, salt, tree nuts, or GMOs. Suitable for vegetarians.

For adults only. Consult a physician prior to use if you are taking carbidopa or drugs/supplements with serotonergic activity. These may include, but are not limited to, L-tryptophan, S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe), St. John’s wort, antidepressants, pain killers, over-the-counter cough and/or cold medication containing dextromethorphan, anti-nausea medication and anti-migraine medication. Consult a physician prior to use if you have a hormonal disorder, diabetes, liver or kidney disease, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, migraine, depression and/or hypertension or if you are taking blood pressure or sedative/hypnotic medications. Consult a physician if symptoms persist continuously for more than 4 weeks (chronic insomnia) or worsen. Discontinue use and consult a physician if you show signs of weakness, oral ulcers, or abdominal pain accompanied by severe muscle pain or if you experience skin changes. Do not use if you have scleroderma, are taking immunosuppressive drugs or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not drive or use machinery for 5 hours after taking melatonin. Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Some people may experience diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Keep out of reach of children.
