SAMe is an abbreviation for S-Adenosyl-Methionine, a natural chemical compound made in the body. SAMe plays a pivotal role in metabolism. However, like with many natural substances our bodies make, SAMe production can decline as we age. SAMe is by far the most important methyl-donor in methylation metabolism, contributing to the health status of virtually every tissue in the body. If SAMe levels decline, so does the vigorous methylation process that contributes to good health. SAMe supplementation has been found to improve a range of health problems and it may be useful in treating many conditions, including depression, osteoarthritis, and liver disease.
Clinical research shows that SAMe elevates mood and has a positive effect on behaviour. It’s also used to address osteoarthritis symptoms and works with folic acid and B12 to promote good mental health. SAMe from Webber Naturals is enteric coated for ease of swallowing, maximum bioavailability, and enhanced stability.
