Advanced Information
Lactose intolerance, the inability to digest lactose (milk sugar), is caused by a lack of or deficiency of lactase, an enzyme manufactured in the small intestine that breaks down lactose. When a person with lactose intolerance consumes milk or other dairy products, the lactose remains undigested, fermenting in the digestive tract and causing a range of symptoms. Such symptoms include cramps, bloating, gas, flatulence, pain, and diarrhea.
Lactose intolerance can be relieved temporarily by supplementation with natural lactase enzyme, restoring proper digestion and providing relief from gastrointestinal symptoms.
Dairy Again Lactase Enzyme Extra Strength from Webber Naturals treats or prevents the symptoms of lactose intolerance. It can be taken to assist in the digestion of lactose present in milk products or lactose-containing medications.
As it is an enzyme that will works directly on lactose present in food you are ingesting, it must be taken each time you eat a lactose-containing food. Lactase does not stay in the body and must be taken at each meal or with snacks containing dairy products.
