Advanced Information
The leaves of the ancient Ginkgo Biloba tree have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries to improve brain health, and ginkgo extract is one of the most popular supplements in Europe.
Modern research shows that ginkgo enhances memory, attention, and speed of cognitive processing in healthy young adults. It also improves blood circulation in the brain and the periphery of the body. This increase in circulation is thought to underlie ginkgo’s ability to improve memory and cognitive function for people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease, and its ability to improve mood and behaviour for people with various forms of mild-to-moderate dementia. Ginkgo extract also improves symptoms of claudication, a condition in which reduced peripheral blood flow causes the legs to become severely fatigued and cramped after walking only a short distance.
Ginkgo Biloba from Webber Naturalsis a standardized extract concentrated 50:1 that contains 24% flavone glycosides and 6% terpene lactones, the primary active compounds. This extra-strength formula provides the same dosage used in successful clinical trials.
