DIY All-Natural Body Scrub

Turn your regular bath or shower into the ultimate spa-like experience with an all-natural body scrub.

Making your own body scrub is easy, affordable and allows you to have complete control over ingredients like organic oils and natural scents. So, let’s get started by getting to know the body scrub basics!

The Exfoliator

The exfoliator is the ingredient that helps polish off old skin cells. The following ingredients are good exfoliants:

  • Sea salt, finely ground
  • White or brown sugar
  • Oats
  • Ground coffee beans
  • Almond meal

The Oil

The oil is the ingredient that helps moisturize your skin. It also helps to hold the other ingredients together into a paste. The following ingredients are good body scrub oils:

The Fragrance

The fragrance in your homemade body scrub is achieved with essential oils and herbs with pleasing and therapeutic odours. You can focus on one particular scent, or experiment with combining several until you find the perfect aroma!

The following herbs and essential oils make great fragrances for body scrubs:

  • Vanilla
  • Eucalyptus
  • Lavender
  • Green tea
  • Citrus zest
  • Rosemary
